Who Are We?
Proud South African History
Systems Advisers was founded in the mid 1960's and developed the first broker trading system together with its successor for the Johanesburg Stock Exchange.
At this time we began our relationship with one of the country's 'Big 5' banks, The Standard Bank of South Africa, which relationship has endured to this day.
We played a major part in helping the bank become an on-line bank throughout South Africa and were key in their development of major front and back-end Asset Finance systems.
We also support the bank's Asset Finance systems in 17 countries on the African Continent together with a web-based teller system running throughout Namibia.
We have an ongoing relationship with another of the 'Big 5' banks being Nedbank who use our software to restructure Asset Finance accounts.
Skills
We have a diverse skills set and are equally at home working on large IBM Mainframes as we are on Client Server and Web applications. Our competencies include Cobol, CICS, SNA, TCP-IP, C++, C#, Entity Framework, MVC, Web Services, DB2, SQL, etc. We are particularly proud of the depth of our banking business knowledge and its practical application in the business.

Principles
Business Functionality First
We believe IT systems exist because of the business and it's needs and not the converse. Consequently we place great emphasis on understanding your business requirements and only then finding the right technological fit. If we think you would be better-off with an Abacus we will tell you!
Clients
Client satisfaction comes first and we stay with you through conceptual design, development, system and user acceptance testing and implementation. We don't operate in silos and believe we need to understand the total picture. Consequently you will find we can act as project managers, system designers, programmers, testers and even balance your take-on values to your general ledger.
